Product Description

Nowadays, Crème De La Mer is a product of the world-famous beauty company Estée Lauder although it was only acquired from its original creator, Max Huber.  History has it that the cream was developed by Huber after 6,000 experimentations in 12 years, all because he was looking for the perfect cream to treat his severe skin problems borne of an explosive accident.

Ingredients

The secret behind Crème De la Mer is the giant kelp extract, the seaweed known as the sequoias of the sea that contains many beneficial nutrients like calcium, potassium and magnesium. Other ingredients include eucalyptus globules, sesame seed oil, alfalfa seeds, sunflower seeds, Vitamin E, Vitamin B3, beta-carotene, Vitamin B12, citric acid and other ingredients proven to nourish, protect and rejuvenate the skin.

I had posted before about how I was looking for a cream that would get rid of my hyperpigmentation on my upper lip.  I went to an aesthetician and they recommended Obagi Nu Derm system.  I was told to use the system for six weeks and come back.

They had me on this regimen:

wash face with my current face wash which is Cetaphil

Morning

use Obagi Clear and then use Obagi Exfoderm and then use Obagi Sun Screen

Evening

wash face, use Obagi Clear, then mix Obagi Blender with Skin Ceuticals Retinol solution.

I used it for 4 weeks and my little "mustache" was GONE completely GONE!!

Was it painful?  No, not painful but I was as red as a tomato for weeks.

Did I peel?  Yes, in the beginning and then it stopped

Was it worth it?  Absolutely!

Any cons?

I had to stop using it because Im pregnant :0 But the only cons besides the redness is that if I ever break out now it seems like the acne is deep and it hurst. Since I cant use Obagi while Im pregnant, I will be looking forward to using it again when I get another "pregnancy mask".

Should you buy this from eBay?  There is no risk in buying it from ebay, however, if you experience A Lot of discomfort just visit an Aesthetician so you can have a professional to talk to about your skin.  Everyone is different and will probably need different regimens.  I have typical acne prone skin that is medium tan.

Another plus point about this product is that the side effects are limited to the bare minimum, which means no puffiness, no redness, and no scratching as and when the cream reacts with your skin. Dermitage's line of eye care products, especially the cream, which is used to remove the dark circles around your eyes is rather effective, even though sometimes you feel a little bit of warmth in that area, as soon as the skin starts getting affected by the cream. Nevertheless, the puffiness under the eyes as well as the dark circles can get removed effectively if you use the cream two times a day. There is of course no substitute better than fresh air, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and 9 hours uninterrupted sleep to get rid of the dark circles, but as a considerably useful 2nd choice, this cream has to make do! These products are rather useful to reduce fine lines, and wrinkles appearing upon your face, especially around the eyes. You can normally use this, before one goes to sleep, or, before you go out in the sun. Once you have applied this cream and serum, you can put on your sunscreen and other makeup.
Dermitage is doing a good job with their products up to now and both the critics and the consumers seem to be rather satisfied. But they should not get complacent and go about changing a recipe which works.

I got rid of my pregnancy mask using Obagi!

I have 3 children and after I got pregnant with my third I started getting a dark skin tone above my lip. I looked like I had a mustache! I was very self conscious and the more I tried to cover it up the worse it looked. I bought some expensive creams and they ended up making it look worse too. I got an IUD after my baby was born and that may be the reason it did not go away for two years but Im not sure. I also breastfed for two years. Ive read all kinds of posts about trying to get rid of pregnancy masks and they are all basically saying to try the latest products out there but Im afraid that the chemicals in these newer products aggravate hyper pigmentation or malasma. It is embarrassing and I hoped no one noticed while they were talking to me and I thought it was something I just had to get used to. I stumbled across this product for how to cure hyper pigmentation a natural remedy. It is making my skin tone even I have only used it for a week but Im noticing an improvement. She gives you a recipe and several natural ways to even your skin tone. Im so glad she wrote the book because she put a lot of work into it and Im really finding it helpful. Not only do I have the pregnancy mask I also have years of acne which has left scars and a very uneven skin tone. I have to use the purest face wash, I use cetaphil. I just cant experiment with the different types of creams it just isnt worth it to risk having a huge breakout that could last months. What is Melasma?

Melasma (also called Chloasma or Mask of Pregnancy) is a common skin condition which causes a brownish-colored discoloration on the skin of the face. While the disorder doesn't cause other symptoms, women are often concerned with the cosmetic effects.

Melasma is often associated with the female hormones estrogen and progesterone. It is especially common in pregnant women, women who are taking oral contraceptives ("the pill"), and women taking hormone replacement therapy during menopause.

Your doctor can usually diagonse Melasma from looking at the color of your skin Some doctors may use a Wood's lamp for a closer look. Many cases of Melasma fade away a few months after childbirth or ending the hormone medications. There are several cosmetic treatments (such as bleaching creams, tretinoin cream, laser peels or topical steroids) that can fade the discoloration. However, the most important thing you can do to prevent or reduce the appearance of Melasma is to avoid sun exposure to the face using sunscreen or shade.
